Margaret Rose (Vigilotti) LaManna, of Solvay, passed away Thursday, November 3rd at Loretto. She was born in Syracuse to the late John “Jack” and Felicia Vigilotti. Margaret was employed by General Electric as a TV Inspector for 25 years before retiring. She was a member and past president of Stanley B Pennock VFW Post 2893 Auxiliary, member of Mattydale VFW Auxiliary, Solvay Tigers Auxiliary, Syracuse Women’s Club and longtime communicant of St. Cecilia Church. She also was a longtime volunteer for the American Cancer Society. Margaret was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Anthony LaManna, daughter; Diane Michalski, of Liverpool, 2 sons; William Kordek, of FL and Anthony (Cindy) Kordek, of Solvay, 3 grandchildren; Ryan Michalski, Candis and Aaron Kordek, 4 great-grandchildren and sister; Jeanette Fomoso, of Syracuse.
Funeral services will be conducted 8:45 am Monday, November 7, 2016 in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 am in St. Cecilia Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners. Family and friends may call from 1 to 4 pm Sunday, November 6, 2016 at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave., Solvay.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
