Mr. John C. McCarthy

John C. McCarthy, 74, of Baldwinsville, passed away Friday May 20th at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A life resident of Syracuse, John was a graduate of Solvay High School, class of ’55 and a US Army Veteran. He was employed by Bristol Labs for over 29 years, retiring as a Supervisor in 1993. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed collecting Corvettes and other classic cars. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and a past member of the Lakeside Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Mary Anne Griffo, 2 sons; Dennis (Cheryl), of Lakeland and David (Tina), of Lakeland, 4 grandchildren; David, Gina, Cody and Mackenzie, 3 great grandchildren, 2 brothers; Leo (Lorraine), of Baldwinsville and Edward (Bonnie), of Lakeland, and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday May 25th at 10 am in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 3494 Rte 31, Baldwinsville. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lakeland. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Tuesday May 24th at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay.
