Francisco "Frank" Miguel, 83, of Eastwood, passed away Tuesday January 3, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Solvay, he was a USAF Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a pipe fitter at Allied Chemical for 35 years before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Stanley Pennock VFW Post 2893, Solvay-Geddes Veterans, The Hilltop Club, the United Mine Workers District 50, The Tyrol Club of Solvay, a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and an avid NY Yankee fan. Frank was predeceased by his brothers, Angelo, Joseph and Benjamin, and his sister Emma (Tony) Vaquero.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Norma Ezzo, 3 sons and daughters-in-law; Frank and Harriet, of NC, Michael and Penny, of Liverpool and Kenneth, of Eastwood, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a sister; Dora (Mario) Capella, of Solvay, 3 sisters-in-law; Frances Miguel, of Solvay, Poncha and Crys Miguel, both of FL, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 am Friday January 6th in BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, Solvay, and 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, Eastwood, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Calling hours are from 4 to 7 pm Thursday January 5th at the funeral home, 2601 Milton Avenue.
