Dennis F. Gipe, Sr., 68, of Venice, FL and Syracuse, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Upstate University Hospital. He was born in Oneonta and lived in Syracuse most of his life. Dennis was an electrical planner at Niagara Mohawk for 34 years before retiring in 2000.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years, the former Betty Dixon, a daughter, Barbara (Joe) Emmi, of Clay, 2 sons, Dennis Jr. (Kristen), of Baldwinsville and Michael (Kristina), of Clay, his adoring 7 grandchildren who will miss him dearly and a brother, Clifford (Kathy), of FL.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1001 Tulip St., Liverpool. BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME has care of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Francis House or Hospice of CNY.
