Raymond William Kletke, 85, a resident of Snohomish, Wash. passed away on May 3, 2016, in Everett, Wash. He was born on February 16, 1931, to William and Lydia Kletke in Snohomish. Ray graduated from Snohomish High School in 1949. Ray married Virginia Mae Broughton in 1953, in Monroe, Wash. She preceded him in death in 1989. He worked for the Snohomish Co-Op for 20 years, and also worked for several years in Real Estate with Century 21 North Homes and Windermere. Ray was a member of the Kiwanis, Elks, and the Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed many outdoor activities including golf, camping, hiking, fishing, and roller-blading. He also enjoyed bowling, but his favorite times were spent with family and friends. Ray is survived by his daughters, Ginny Schwarzmiller (Jon), and Cindy Kletke-Goetz (Mike); a sister, Jeanie Jubee; grandchildren, Joleen Rodgers, and Jon Paul Schwarzmiller. Ray also leaves behind three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.and special friend and companion Dorothy Nopson. A funeral service is planned for Friday, May 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at the Crossview Church, 604 Ave C, Snohomish. Suggested donations may be made to Providence Hospice or Crossview Church Missions.
Ray was a loving father and grandfather. He had a gentle soul and portrayed a positive attitude toward all who knew him. He lived his life serving God and spent quality time with his family and friends. Ray will be forever missed by those who knew him!
