Nancy Walsh passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 5th, 2021. She was born to Ted and Margie Peterson, the third of four daughters, on Aug. 25th, 1954. She attended school in Lake Stevens, graduating in 1972. She married Tom Walsh in 1975 and they celebrated their 47th anniversary on June 14th. They raised two boys in Snohomish. Both have stayed close to home and have been a big part of her life. Nancy drove school bus locally until a neck injury forced her retirement. Although she was forced to slow down, she kept active and enjoyed gardening, traveling, and RVing. The beach and “snow birding” were her favorites. Our close group of friends that met while we were houseboating on Lake Roosevelt in the 90’s became lifelong friends, and many great memories were made. Nancy’s greatest joy has been spending time with her grandsons, going camping, fishing, and attending their sporting events. Nancy and Tom built a house 10 years ago on the property in Lake Stevens that she grew up on, she loved being home.
Nancy was preceded in death by parents Ted and Margie Peterson, sister Linda, and in-laws Bill and Marian Walsh.
Nancy is survived by husband Tom Walsh, sons Barry (Danielle) Walsh and Todd Walsh, sisters Karen Stroh and Dorinda (Lance) Knuth as well as grandsons Gage, Rider and Gavin Walsh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Everett Firefighters Hall, 2411 Hewitt Ave, Everett, WA 98201 from 1-4 pm, Sat. October 30th, 2021.
