The good Lord took Mary Alice (Rasmussen) Packebush to her forever home on February 27th, 2022. She was born in Rose Creek, Minnesota on September 22nd 1930 to Henry and Josephine Rasmussen. The family moved west in 1944 and settled in Snohomish, Washington where she graduated from Snohomish High school class of 1948. She married Gerald Packebush on July 20th 1951. They share 45 years of marriage until his passing in 1996. Mary worked various jobs early on including the Snohomish theater, Newberries, GTE, and Weeds variety, but mostly loved being a homemaker raising her four children and always helping out with the grand children. Mary’s hobbies included quilting, scout & den leader, team mother activities, and she always loved a good puzzle. Mary loved and touched all she met. And it would be amiss not to mention Mary’s unwavering faith in God.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Josephine, her husband Gerald, brother Robert, and sister Helen. She is survived by her sister Shirley Jacobson, son Rick (Debbie) Packebush, daughter Linda (Jerry) Gandee, son Randy (Debbie) Packebush, and son Scott (Amy) Packebush, 16 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held on March 8th at 12:00 at G.A.R. cemetery of Snohomish. A celebration of life is scheduled for April 23rd from 12:00 to 2:00, at Christ the King Lutheran church in Snohomish, Washington.
A special thank you goes out to Pastor Craig Beeker of Christ the King Lutheran church, the Christ the King Lutheran church family, and also to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County.
