Mary Betz, 45, a resident of Snohomish, WA passed away November 22, 2011 with her loving husband of 14 years by her side. Mary was born in Mt. Sterling, KY on December 15, 1965.
She attended Montgomery Co. School in Mt. Sterling, KY. She then went to St. Catherine's School in Richmond, VA and later graduated from Sayre High School in Lexington, KY. Mary went on to attend the University of Texas in Austin studying electrical engineering. She was very proud to have earned an Orange Jacket for her academic performance upon graduating.
Mary went on to be employed by JPL where she worked on the Galileo Project for NASA, receiving honors from NASA for her efforts, and was currently employed by the Korry Division of Esterline in Everett, WA.
Mary married Ryan Betz on September 20, 1997 in Estes Park, CO. Mary, Ryan, and their two boys had 10 champion bulldogs. Mary was a huge advocate for all youth in junior handling events. Both Josh and Justin have won top honors for junior handling at the Bulldog Club of America National Show. Her true passion was breeding and showing her bulldogs.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ryan; sons, Josh and Justin; brothers, Ben Oldham, Bill Oldham, and Matt Oldham; and her father, David Oldham.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish, WA.
