Lorraine Sheilah Hamilton-Evans

Lorraine Sheilah spent her World War II years in London as a child and then was a model with a 17 inch waist in late 1940's for London and English couture houses!! Lorraine Sheilah meet her RAF husband Ronald Edward in Karachi, Pakistan.

They both emigrated from London to Canada and married in Montreal, Quebec and had a daughter Melanie Sheilah Genevieve and then immigrated again within the aerospace industry to Seattle, Washington where their second daughter Melissa Kathleen Patricia was borne.

Lorraine adore dogs & cats and horses her entire life and worked with them as a young teenager in London and the English countryside. Lorraine had terriers and poodles as a child and rode horses and when modelling even did some film work riding side saddle in a “Beau Brummel” film at Elstree Studios. Lorraine bred and showed German Shepard Dogs when her children were small and had French Poodles and Shetland Sheepdogs and a Golden Retriever and then English Cocker Spaniels too. Lorraine enjoyed watching her daughters with their hunters and jumpers and dressage horses too.

Lorraine travelled much and lived with her husband and daughters in Montauk, Long Island and New Orleans, Louisiana and Lompoc (near Santa Barbara) at Vandenberg AFB and then in Rancho Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles, California. Then with her husband Ron in the aerospace industry life took them to live in Paris, France and Bonn, West Germany and then back to Los Angeles, California. After that they lived on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada on property with their daughters and horses and all the family animals; after that in Stanwood, Washington State where they had a farm with horses, cows, goats, pigs, geese, ducks and chickens. Once again back on the road with aerospace industry life took them to live in their beloved Denver, Colorado. Afterwards, they lived once again at Vandenberg AFB in Lompoc, California where they had lived 20 years previously. They loved being back on the California coastline near Santa Barbara once again. They spent many happy family vacation trips to visit old family friends in Scottsdale, Arizona via Palm Springs in their beloved California as well.

Lorraine and Ronnie had a wonderful trips to Halifax, Nova Scotia with family in Montreal and also a marvelous trip to Lake Louise and Banff Springs, Alberta. Upon their retirement they have a gorgeous trip to Edinburgh, Scotland and then drove through Scotland into England along the coast down to relatives in Sussex England.

Mummy to her daughters Melanie & Melissa and beloved Grandmother “Hammie” to Maureen and Andrew & Great Grandmother “Hammie” to Ella, Theo and Luc. Mummy has left the family with a legacy of love enriching her life with ours. For this and so much more we are all forever blessed. | TEMPUS FUGIT |

A celebration of life will be held after 10:30am PST Mass on Sunday, 24 February 2019 at St. Michaels Catholic Church at 1512 Pine Avenue, Snohomish, WA 98290 | St Michaels @ TEL (360) 568-0821

Lorraine Sheilah’s ashes will be flown to Heathfield, Sussex, England in the summertime for a remembrance service given by retired RAF Chaplin and will rest in her parent’s village church with her beloved husband Ron.
