Kenneth A. Scott, 60, of North Bend, WA, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 18th at his home.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1960 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Douglas W. Scott and Alison C. (Mecke) Scott.
Ken attended Northern Arizona University and went on to attend University of Washington where he received his BS in Forestry and Wildland Conservation. He found his dream job at Farallon Consulting as their Project Scientist for over 22 years. Ken’s background interests are varied. He starred as Bigfoot in the 2005 movie “Clawed: The Legend of Sasquatch”, was a backpacking consultant for JanSport, and designed the Shoreline Community College Environmental Interpretive Center. Ken has educated the public and youth groups about wetlands, streams and salmon restoration. He has conducted biology tours for UW students at the Washington Arboretum and educated youth groups for Earth Day at University of Washington. He is an avid martial artist, hiker, skier, and artist. He enjoyed spending time with family and motorcycling with friends.
His memory will be cherished by his loving mom; Alison Scott, sister; Monica Christensen, uncle; Richard Mecke, nieces; Amanda Nye and Taylor Christensen all of WA.
Services will be private.
