James Howard Walker, a graduate of Western Washington University, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at the age of 73. He was a radio broadcaster before being asked to join the KVOS News team where he worked for 16 years as a reporter and broadcaster. He then worked for KOMO News for two years before working as a video specialist for the US Forest Service. He was a writer, photographer, sailor, pilot, chess player, magician, actor and director, and a huge fan of Meat Loaf (the band not the food). He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ann Walker; their children, Ted, Elliott, Benjamin, Amy and Emily; and grandchildren, Megan, Katie, Jacob, Rachel, and Kellan; his sister, Rainy; and his brother John. He is preceded in death by his cohorts in many adventures, Jerry Burns, Bill Servais, and Larry Hopp. Heaven will never be the same. A memorial service will be held February 28, 2015 at Bauer Funeral Chapel in Snohomish at 1:00 p.m.
