Dennis A. Bask was born on December 12th, 1953 to Donald and Joan Bask in Seattle, Washington. He spent his childhood living and growing up in Bellevue, Washington, and eventually moved to the Mill Creek/Snohomish area as an adult.
Denny has a daughter – Kiana Bask (with his former wife, Liezl Bask) that he loved very much and devoted his life to her. Denny also had two younger brothers, Terry Bask and Marty Bask. He had 2 nieces – Sheila and Jenny from Terry and wife Suzy. Then 1 niece and 1 nephew – Evin and Tyler from Marty and wife Wendy.
Denny graduated from Sammamish High School in 1972, then began his college career at Washington State University graduating in 1979 with a Masters Degree in Psychology. He was a member of the Acacia fraternity at WSU and stayed in touch with his frat brothers. He continued his Post Masters education and received his Education Administration Certification at Central Washington University in 1994. Denny began his career as a Child Psychologist at Everett and Edmonds School Districts. He then moved to Sultan School District for 5 years and retired with Northshore School District after 16 years in 2010.
After retirement he spent a lot of his free time carving wood, clay and stone sculptures. He was a member of the Northwest Stone Sculpture Association and had his artwork exhibited at Courtyard Gallery in La Conner, Washington. `
Denny passed away in his sleep on November 28th, 2019. He will be truly missed by his family and friends, especially for his dry sense of humor and love for his family.
A celebration of Denny’s life will take place in early 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association in the name of Dennis Bask.
