Carole Lee James, 84 of Lake Stevens, WA, passed away, June 6, 2022, surrounded by her four children. Carole was born, Jan. 4, 1938 in Wellington, KS. to Paul and Mary Estes. She married, Jimmy James, her high school sweetheart and soon after they had four children who were the absolute joy of their life, everyday! Carole had the greatest appreciation and love of the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She would often look up and say, “Look at that beautiful blue sky!” She loved going on long rides where she could see mountains and bodies of water or rivers, she loved the beauty of the outdoors. Carole enjoyed her career as a Nursing Assistant and Activities Director at Holly Crest Nursing Home in Snohomish, WA. for 15 years. She was a blessing and inspiration to the residents who lived there and was happy to be able to bring a few of them home with her on holidays to share time with our family. Carole was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy James; her parents, Paul Estes and Mary Stillman; sister, Paula Jean Lamborn; daughter in-law, Debra James; and son in-law, Robert Hodgkinson, Jr. Carole is survived by children, Rod James, Sher’ee (Philip) Fry, Patti (Kevin) Kelly, and Evelyn Hodgkinson, and many extended and cherished family members.
A private family service and celebration of her life was held prior to this posting.
