Bette Lou (Fenton) Mobius
August 12, 1927 - May 31, 2018
Bette Lou (Fenton) Mobius passed away at home on Thursday, May 31, 2018, after a brief illness. Bette retained her sweet loving appreciative and contrite nature to the end of her life. Her nephew Jim Fenton best described her as “Pure Grace.”
Bette was born in Snohomish, WA, to William and Freda Fenton. She was the eldest of five children. Bette’s family lived in Missouri and returned to Snohomish where she completed High School. Bette was a faithful Christian and a long-term member of the Snohomish Baptist Church.
Bette married Frank Mobius in 1952. They raised their two daughters, Lani and Renae, in Lake Stevens, WA. Family meant a lot to Bette and Frank who hosted many extended family holiday meals. Bette was our family historian preserving family/friend’s birth, school, marriage, and funeral announcements, in addition to pictures of family events.
Roughly a year after Frank passed, Bette moved to Garden Court Retirement Community in Everett where she found good friends, enjoyed playing Bingo, and attended Bible Study.
Her husband, Frank in 2015, and Renae in 2017, preceded Bette in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers, LeRoy (Buck) Fenton and Jim Fenton, and sister-in-law Molly (Jim) Fenton.
Bette is survived by her daughter Lani Mobius, brother John Fenton, sister Lorie Aalbu, sisters-in-law Kate (Buck) Fenton and Clara (John) Fenton, brother-in-law Lanny Aalbu and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Bette’s memorial service is scheduled for 1 pm on Saturday, August 11th at Garden Court Retirement Community, located at 512 - 112th Ave. SE, Everett, WA 98204. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Everett Gospel Mission, PO Box 423, Everett, WA 98203.
Bette’s family would like to thank Dr. Dinah Thyerlei, the Garden Court Retirement Community residents, staff and Assisted Living team, and her Providence Hospice team for providing Bette and her family with excellent care and support throughout her illness.
