Part 1: Mom's Eulogy 
This was not an easy story to write, because there are so many things to share about mom, not wanting to leave anything out about her character, her kick-butt attitude, perseverance through many obstacles and momma bear way about her…, She was respected, loved, admired and she was amazing… 

Just about every person who has ever met my mom said the same thing... "I just love and appreciate your mom". 
She has had so many roles in her life, Loving mother, wife, grandmother, caregiver, sister, friend, every one of these she lived with selfless dedication and relentless energy, she was determined and headstrong in whatever she wanted to do and how she approached what needed to get done..

It’s no wonder why, when she retired they literally sent her home with a dessert that had the words “don’t leave…written on top of it. She loved her job and the people she interacted with every day.

That is one of the saddest parts about this heartbreak, she didn’t get to the chance to do the many things she had put off through the years, (trips we were all going to take, learning stained glass, having a farm with a big old garden like the old days, getting time to herself for herself…) saying she would do it after… after she was done helping whoever needed her at that time…

She didn’t get that chance…
but I know the biggest part of her wouldn’t have it any other way because it fed her soul soo much to be there for people, but also to be seen, valued, loved and appreciated for her hard work and sacrifice recognized.

You just couldn't help but love her, She was kind and generous and she was real, you knew exactly where you stood with her, If you needed to be set straight, she would tell you to get your crap together and kick your butt in gear, or she was going to…

Part 3:

In Closing, 
I would like to leave you with another short poem, 

I’M THERE INSIDE YOUR HEART
Right now I’m in a different place
And though we seem apart
I’m closer than I ever was,
I’m there inside your heart.
I’m with you when you greet each day
And while the sun shines bright
I’m there to share the sunsets, too
I’m with you every night.
I’m with you when the times are good
To share a laugh or two,
And if a tear should start to fall
I’ll still be there for you.
And when that day arrives
That we no longer are apart,
I’ll smile and hold you close to me,
Forever in my heart.

PART 2:
And sometimes you got the one eyebrow look... you all know the one, that said I see you, I am not playing... 

And believe me if she said you shouldn’t do something or don’t go there and you did.. It would never work out, Trust me I tested the theory a few times when I was younger…she just had that sixth sense…

But the rest of the time it was "come as you are, and if you leave hungry it's your own damn fault"…

and oh, how she loved to feed all the people. She took so much pride in her cooking, always making sure everyone liked everything, got enough and made sure no one was without a plate to eat and extras to take home.

She made you feel welcome, appreciated, supported, and a part of our family even if you weren't born in to it. You couldn't help but see her smile and feel loved and comforted by her light. She was a fiercely protective, and loving momma bear to anyone in need, She was the bridge, the glue that kept several families together. Always doing what needed to be done for whoever needed it.

She was thoughtful, like extra mile thoughtful, she would always send out cards on holidays, and birthdays to everyone (like through the mailbox)… to let them know she was thinking about them and wanting to keep them feeling included and remembered.

Things you might not know (but she would tell you):

she was like gma Daisy, tough as nails ornery, she wanted you to know she was made from the resilient, hard core old-school, being raised by a strong tough woman.

she and gma Betty always used to say when she was a kid in school, she would rather fight than eat her lunch…lol Mom was no stranger to this fighter role, She learned at a very young age what it meant to work hard, and sacrifice for your family and she fought and worked hard her entire life, but she was also a softy.

the cucumber chips are what make her famous mac salad infamous, the bread and butter ones are not the same and will not do..
