William Tillman Norris Jr.

He was born on December 23, 1938 to the late William Tillman Norris Sr. and Claudia Connell of Adel, Georgia. Tillman went onto play football at Cook County High School. After graduating high school, he attended the great University of Georgia, where he graduated. Tillman served his country in the Army Reserves, and later went onto open up a successful printing company that he would manage until retirement. Tillman was a devoted husband to the late Gloria Beth Norris for 56 years, father to his two children, the late Tillman Daniel Norris and Mary Beth Hinesley; a grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He enjoyed Georgia Football, fishing, golfing, and gardening.

He is survived by his daughter: Mary Beth Hinesley; son-in-law: David Hinesly; two granddaughters: Heather Dodson and her husband Kelby Dodson, Courtney Williams and her husband Kyle Williams; one great granddaughter: Sophie Dodson; and one great grandson: Brooks Dodson.

A visitation for William will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 PM in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, 3700 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039.

In Lieu of flowers, he would have wanted donations to go to St. Jude Children’s Hospital
