William Henry McKenzie

William Henry McKenzie (Bill), age 81 of Snellville, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024. He is survived by his daughter Michelle (McKenzie) and son-in-law, Mark Edwards; daughter Sandi (McKenzie) and son-in-law, Mike Spain; grandchildren, Anthony William Spain and Jacob Alexander Spain; sister-in-law Virginia Walker; multiple nieces and nephews.

Bill was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Hoke Smith High School and received his Law Degree from Woodrow Wilson Law School in Atlanta. Bill began his career in insurance claims management with Ranger Insurance. He continued his career as vice-president of claims at Alexander Underwriters and later retired from Amtrust Group. Bill had a lengthy career sharing his expertise as a claims manager with many wonderful people he was blessed to work with for many years.

Bill was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. If he wasn’t helping a friend or family member in need he enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and watching his beloved Georgia Bulldogs football. His presence will be missed by all who loved him; however, his light will shine bright in Heaven for all eternity.

A visitation honoring Bill will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 from 6-8 pm at Eternal Hills Funeral Home located at 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, Ga 30039. Funeral services will be held at the same location on Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 at 1:00 pm with Entombment to follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, Georgia.
