William Carl "Bill" Jenkins, 81, of Grayson, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, in Snellville. Bill was born on November 27, 1933 in Oakland, TN to Harvey and Mary Jenkins. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Jenkins worked for the FAA and later at Parsons as an electrical engineer. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife Avonelle and daughter Carla E. Howard. Survivors include his wife Barbara Ann Jenkins, daughter Tamera Bowers and husband Bates Bowers III, grandson Bates B. Bowers IV, granddaughters Cristin L. Trammell and husband David, Dana N. Howard, great granddaughter Brianna Trammell, and his siblings Walter Jenkins, Gene Jenkins, Harvey Neil Jenkins and Mary Lou Thomas. Visitation will be on Friday, May 15, 2015, from 5-8pm at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Saturday, May 16, 2015, in the Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at 3:00pm at Sherwood Memorial Park in Jonesboro.
