William L. (Bill) Dixon, age 89, of Snellville passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. A member of “The Greatest Generation,” Mr. Dixon served in the U.S. Navy during WWII followed by a lengthy career as an electrical contractor. Prior to his retirement, he was President of the J.M. Clayton Company in Atlanta. A faithful follower of Christ and devoted family man, he is survived by his wife of 68 years Gaynelle, son Steve, daughter Linda Johnson, granddaughter Jessica Goss, and two great-granddaughters. Visitation will be from 12-2pm on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy in Snellville, (770-972-3155), followed by a 2:00pm funeral service in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in his memory be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the Salvation Army.
