Wanda Young Melton originally from Raleigh, N.C., presently from Stone Mountain, GA, passed away on June 3, 2022. “Mama Melton”, as she was affectionately known as, was born in Raleigh, NC on December 6, 1951 to Albert Grady Young and Christine Thomas Young. She was preceded in death by her daughter Richelle Christine Melton. She is survived by her daughter Sara Rebecca Melton; sister Bridgett Bowman, brother-in-law James Bowman, granddaughters Sara Ansley Melton and Samantha Avery Coughlin, son-in-law Christopher Coughlin.
Wanda worked for Bell South for many years and currently worked for Kitchens-Knew-Cleghorn as the office administrator.
A memorial service will be held on June 13, 2022 at 11am in the sanctuary of Tucker First United Methodist Church, 5095 Lavista Road, Tucker, GA 30084. A reception will follow the service. A graveside service will be held at 2pm at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. If you would like to send flowers, please send them to the church address.
