Shelby Dyer Smith, age 87, of Snellville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
Shelby Dyer Smith was born on August 3, 1937, in Decatur to Floyd Dyer, Sr. and Vertie Whitaker Dyer. She graduated from Avondale High School. She worked at USF&G Insurance Company where she met her husband Emmett “Bobby” Smith. Shelby gave her life to Christ as a young girl and she and her husband enjoyed serving in their church, Christian & Missionary Alliance. She was a wonderful Wife, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend and will be missed by family and friends who will have wonderful memories to cherish.
Shelby is survived by her Nephews Paul McDonald, Harold Roach and Chris Carroll, Nieces Patricia Roach, Susan Easler and Heather Carroll, Sister-in law Shirley Carroll, Brother-in-law Sonny Carroll, Great Nephews Alex Roach, Nolan Carroll and Ethan Carroll, Great Niece Danielle Roach, Great-Great Nephew Roman Roach and many cousins.
A graveside service for Shelby will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Garden of Memory Cemetery, 2284 Candler Rd, Decatur, Georgia 30032
