Petranilla obtained her education at the Princess Town Roman Catholic School and attended the Princess Town Roman Catholic Church in her early years. After graduating primary school, she joined the Girl’s Guides and while there, Petranilla learned many skills including first aid. Petranilla went on to pursue a higher education when she graduated from the Noriega Clerical School in 1964 and it was there, she learned the necessary clerical skills to assist her father as a Clerical Assistant for his construction business.
At age 22 on December 2, 1972, Petranilla married the love of her life Robert, her husband of 51 years. Born to this union are 4 children: Lisa, Nicole, Damian and Deon. They met at a very young age while they both were attending Princess Town RC School. Some say, there was an instant love connection, she fell head over heels for him. Petranilla would say, “I believe it’s called love at first sight”. Petranilla accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was a member of the Crossroads Pentecostal Church in Princess Town, under the leadership of Pastor Torrance Bobb. She was employed by Woolworth as a Head cashier in Princess Town for over 20 years.
In 1988, Petranilla migrated to Brooklyn, New York with her family. She was employed by Mc Crory Department Store for some years as a Merchandise Clerk, and soon became a member of Victory Faith Tabernacle Church, under the leadership of Pastor Richard Glasgow. Petranilla retired and migrated to Snellville, Georgia in 2003. She quickly became a member of the Hope and Life Ministries Church under the leadership of Pastor Tony Brock. Due to her love for working, Petranilla came out of retirement and worked for Home Depot in Snellville, GA as a Merchandise Representative for 2 years.
Pet, as she was called by many, was special. She had gifted hands of decorating and cooking. She would always find something for her hands to do, whether it be transplanting a flowerpot, rearranging a flower arrangement, decorating a room or an entire house. Petranilla loved enjoying the finer things in life. She loved traveling, while taking care of her home, insisting that things be done and look a certain way. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved her family dearly. Petranilla would always make sure that when you were around her, you would get a good meal and feel welcome.
