Pete was born in New Haven, Connecticut on March 26, 1957, to Norman and Jane Montigny. He has since lived in Texas before settling down in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Pete held a long and successful career as a Traffic Signal Control Technician, and outside of work enjoyed a multitude of hobbies including hunting, fishing, grilling, and fixing anything he could get his hands on. Those who have met Pete will know that he never met a stranger. His open, friendly demeanor helped him build lasting friendships everywhere he went.
Pete is survived by his children, Samantha and Joseph Montigny, along with Joseph’s wife Lauren Montigny; the mother of his children, Tina Montigny; his father, Norman Montigny; and siblings, Lisa Cann and John Montigny, along with their families.
All friends and family of Pete’s are invited to join us at Eternal Hills Funeral Home on December 14, from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon to honor Pete’s memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the American Cancer Society in Pete's name. This cause was something that was important to Pete, as well as his family.
