Melvin Dale Thomas

Melvin Dale Thomas, age 81, of Madison, Georgia passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Melvin was born on October 13, 1942 to the late Mr. William Cecil Thomas Sr. and the late Mrs. Ruby Lee Anderson Thomas.

Melvin attended the Marion, VA school system at an early age, where he gained his high school diploma from Marion High School.

Melvin later in life met the love of his life Mrs. Deborah Bonnie Brandt Thomas. Their union was blessed with two children.

Melvin loved building things. He was a Master Mechanic for HB Fuller Company for many years. He later retired from HB Fuller and Company.

Melvin enjoyed cars. He loved watching and attending car races. Melvin also enjoyed watching and attending sporting events. He loved watching Georgia football and Westerns. Melvin also enjoyed listening to music.

Melvin was a very smart and knowledgeable man that could make and do anything. He loved the Lord and is resting in the bosom of Christ. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Melvin is preceded in death by his grandson, Trey.

Melvin leaves precious memories behind with his wife: Mrs. Deborah Bonnie Thomas; his children: Stephen Thomas and Billie Joe Jenkins; grandchildren: Ashley, Allie, and Ethan; 6 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Melvin will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hope Baptist Church, 8 Pleasant Hill Church Rd SE, Winder, GA 30680, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, 3700 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, GA 30039 following his Funeral service.
