Mary grew up in Brooklyn, New York until 1972 when she and her family moved to Cambria Heights, Queens until they relocated to Georgia.

Mary always had an entrepreneurial spirit, kicking off many careers such as starting a business with her husband, Sam Carson. They owned and operated an Amoco gas station in Brooklyn, New York which they accomplished in their twenties. Mary would go on to get her license as a New York realtor, through which they owned and flipped homes in NYC and GA. Mary also went to beauty school and obtained her license to become a stylist to start her own personal care salon business. Mary enjoyed traveling with her husband, girlfriends, sisters, daughter and nieces to beautiful places such as Europe, Hawaii, and the Caribbean.
Mary's life was not without challenge. She had breast cancer twice, which she survived. As a way to honor her life, we ask that her family and friends make time in October to do "something" special to help in the fight to find a cure for breast cancer.
