Effie Mabel Dethloff, affectionately known as Mickey, 83, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010, in Duluth, GA. Mickey was born on August 9, 1929 in Thomasville, AL to George E. and Jewell Mae (Reneau) Kelly. She worked as an executive secretary for Bell Weather Exploration Company. Mickey was a devout Christian and devoted mother and grandmother who loved to dance and fish. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Luther Kelly. Survivors include her daughters Joy D’Lynn Gilliam and husband Thad of Lilburn, GA, Terri Lynn Sullivan and husband Shawn of Steamboat Springs, CO and Nancy Steele and husband Bill of Conroe, TX, sisters Eva Jackson and Martha Overton, both of Thomasville, AL and grandchildren Thaddeus Josiah Gilliam, Bradford Charles Gilliam, Ashley D’Lynn Clemence, Bryce Arthur Sullivan, Sean Reiff Sullivan, Sage Kelly Sullivan, Joshua Shayne Steele and Bethany Joy Mozley. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Friday, May 7, 2010, in the chapel of Eternal Hills Funeral Home, Snellville, GA, with Buddy Hoffman officiating.
