Mickey was a beautiful angel and I'm honored to have been blessed with the gift of knowing her.  She planted herself in my heart many years ago and although I lost touch with her - she still lives on.

Mickey was loved by so many.  I remember fondly all the stories she told when we worked together at Torch and Bellwether.  She was great with words and her hugs were sincere.  I couldn't have asked for a better friend or a more loving prayer partner.  I'm glad we kept in touch after she left Houston.  Your mom will be missed by more people than you realize.  I'm sorry we can't all be there to give you hugs of support during this time.  Know that Mickey is still watching over you and telling stories about you to a new audience.  May God give you peace during this time of transition.

Joy, Nancy, & Terry - I always loved your mom so much!  She was one of the most beautiful, peaceful, faithfilled spirits I have ever known!  I always had so much respect and admiration for her and how she handled what life dealt her with such grace and dignity.  All she talked about were you 3 girls and her precious grandchildren.  I last talked to her a few months ago and am so happy I kept in touch with her.  I know you all will miss her so much as we will, but her spirit has returned to her Father God!  She is at peace now!  I know she still has that beautiful smile on her face as she always did!  May you all find peace in her transfer to the heavenly realm!  You were so blessed to have her as a mother, the image of the spirit of Christ!

Mickey was such a treasure to the Torch and Bellwether team.  She was a joy to be around and I have fond memories of her lacing her tennis shoes to walk the tunnels in downtown Houston for exercise.  She truly loved her family and friends and will be missed.

Dear Nancy, Terri and Joy,

Darby and I are so sad to hear of your mother's passing.  She was a beautiful Southern lady with a very giving and generous heart.  We missed her after she moved to Georgia, but I looked forward to getting a call from her every August for our birthdays.  We will be forever grateful to her for the role she played in bringing us together and serving as the matron of honor at our wedding 27 years ago!  I am picturing her dancing across heaven in a long gown, free of all pain and worries.
