Dr. Juan T. Moore, born February 1, 1951 to the late Maggie W. Carey and Rudolph Moore in Suffolk, Virginia. God called Juan to change his address on Thursday, September 21, 2017 to join his troops in Heaven. Juan is survived by his heart and wife, Mrs. Betty Moore and the two apples of his eyes, Mrs. Elizabeth Moore, daughter and son-in-law, Jonothan Foreman, and Mr. Shaun Moore, son. Juan is also survived by his four precious grandchildren: Ava, David, Raven, and Evan Foreman. Finally, Juan is survived by a strong extended family who loved and cherished his immediate family. Aunts: Hazel Norris and Ruth Richardson. Uncle: William Washington (Eula) and numerous cousins and friends. The most important attribute of Juan is that he truly loved his family and constantly provided for them at all costs to ensure that they were always taken care of. Outside of his family, Juan cared for students who were not his own. Dr. Moore worked in the DeKalb County School District for many years as a teacher, school level administrator, and district level administrator touching the lives of students and adults. Juan relished being outside enjoying and working around nature. Juan also savored the times that he was able to travel with Ms. Betty and the children. Even though Juan encountered many medical hurdles, he never gave up and continued to fight to remain here with his family and friends.
