Jack Godbold, 78, of Stone Mountain, passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at his home. Jack was born on May 7, 1936 in Augusta to William and Lillie Mae Godbold. He was an extremely patriotic man who proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Jack worked for over 30 years for Kraft Foods. He enjoyed building bird houses, which he would donate to silent auctions to raise money for charities. Jack was a bit of a handyman who loved to use the phrase, “If I can’t fix it, it ain’t broken” and was very fond of duct tape. He was also known for his favorite saying and “motto”, 2 Blessed 2 Be Stressed, which is how he lived each and every day. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Glendora Godbold of Stone Mountain, daughters Theresa Lowery of Stone Mountain, Delores Ann “Dee Dee” Gray and husband Paul of Sarasota, FL and Jacqueline Marie Procaccini and husband Dr. Michael Procaccini of Norcross and granddaughters Casey Lee Koppenhoeffer and husband Kevin, Francesca Marie and Sophia Rae Procaccini, as well as extended family Dot, Pat and Gary. Visitation will be from 1-3pm on Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00pm on Sunday, September 21, 2014, in the Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family has requested that, whether you are attending or not able to come, to please wear the color blue to honor Jack on the day of the service, as this is his favorite color.
