Don leaves behind the love of his life and wife of over 40 years, Kerrie, and the apple of his eyes, his daughter, Karena. He will be forever in their hearts.
Don leaves behind his sister, Lisa. He was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Mark Campagna.
Don grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Williamstown High School. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country. His tour of duty took him to Frankfurt, Germany before returning to the States.
Don had a passion for service throughout his life. It was this passion for service that led him to continue to give back to each City and State he had lived in. His career path has taken him to work for Animal Control, which he enjoyed. During his tenure with that department, Don grew close with many colleagues who became true friends. His passion continued as he embarked on his most loved position as he moved up the ranks with the City of Snellville Communications Department where he had a stellar career of 20 years and a final title as Supervisor. He was truly loved by his department and respected by his colleagues. He loved his work, but most importantly he loved the people he worked with.
Don knew no stranger! His infectious smile and witty personality would put everyone around him in a good mood. He had no fear and lived his life to the fullest; whether it was being a human target for the police training dogs or being slugged by a potbelly pig, he enjoyed what he was doing. He gave of himself unselfishly to others. He mentored and motivated his coworkers. He gave a listening ear and lent a helping hand.
