Dale Wayne Woods

Visitation and services will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Hwy, Snellville, GA, 30039 on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM – 12 Noon, followed by a service at 12:00 Noon.

Burial will be Friday, April 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Fairview Memorial Cemetery, 1106 Nell Street, Tazewell, TN, 37879.

Dale was born in Knoxville, TN to Rondy and Ellen Woods on February 19, 1944. He joined the United States Air Force in 1964 and served as a gunner in the Vietnam War. During his military tenure, he was stationed in Philippines, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. He was Honorably Discharged on November 29, 1968.

Dale is preceded in death by Mike Woods (son), Ricky Costner (stepson), Sharon Verrechio (1st wife), Betty Woods (2nd wife) and Jan Woods (3rd wife) and Gladys Neely (sister).

Dale is survived by Jeff Woods (son), Michael Woods (grandson), June Wolfe (sister), Joyce Malarek (sister), and Margie Veal (sister). Stepdaughters include Linda Swift, Renee Lanoue, and Lisa Porter. Surviving Grandchildren include; Courtney Browning, Joseph Lanoue, Shasta Costner, Whitney Porter, Gabbrielle Hunt, Shontel Costner, Jessica Swift, Kenny Faecher, Chandler Woods and Teagan Woods including eight Great Grandchildren

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org or the National Kidney Foundation at 5756 S. Semoran Blvd, Orlando, FL 32822. Condolences can be left in Dale’s online guestbook at eternalhillsfuneralhome.com.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Vitas (Hospice) for their guidance and support during Dale’s journey to heaven. A loss for us here is a huge gain for heaven. We love him and will miss him dearly until we see each other again.
