Constance M. Walden

Connie graduated Ithaca High School, Class of 1964. Connie married her high school sweetheart Charles Durling and had two children Stephen and Joanne. Connie relocated to Georgia where she had long careers with Kuppenheimer, Avon, and eventually retired with Delta Airlines. Connie was a devout Catholic who attended St. Lawrence of Lawrenceville, GA.

Connie enjoyed her years with Delta and traveling around the world with her friends and sisters. She was also very involved in scrapbooking her adventures.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Joanne Durling, stepfather Charles Predmore of Lilburn, GA, stepmother Peggy Walden of Ithaca, NY, brother Jackie Walden of Parker, CO, and brother James Walden of Brooksville, FL.

Connie is survived by son Stephen Durling and his wife Sasha of Flowery Branch, GA, granddaughters Lexi and Lauren Durling of Flowery Branch, GA, sister Carol Ann Carpenter and husband Stanley of Trumansburg, NY, sister Denise Dilfield and husband Mark of McDonough, GA, sister Diane Martin of Buford, GA, and many nieces and nephews.

Connie’s family is consoled by the assurance that she is reuniting with her precious daughter Joanne who was lost to her 35 years ago.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, 11:00 am at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway (Hwy 78) in Snellville, GA. Prior to the funeral service, there will be a viewing from 10:00-11:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association via support of Team ‘Love Of My Life’ at the Walk To End Alzheimer’s held on October 2, 2021 in Gainesville, GA.

A visitation for Constance will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home and Cremation, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, GA 30039.
