Carter L. Jacoby, age 88, passed away peacefully in Loganville on Sunday, the 12th of January 2020. Carter was a devout Christian, loving husband of 33 years, father, and grandfather. Carter was known and loved for his kind, humble, and generous nature and he will be dearly missed by family and friends. Carter was born the 15th of January 1931, to Chamblee Jacoby in Moultrie, GA.
Carter had a strong work ethic and a fulfilling career at Noland Co. where he retired after 25 years of service. Carter was also bus driver for 35 years and managed several skating rinks for a cumulative 42 years. Carter was an avid collector and long-time member of First Baptist Church of Atlanta.
Carter is pre-deceased by his mother, Chamblee Jacoby and grandparents.
Carter is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda Jacoby of Loganville, GA; two children, Cheryl Chitwood and Ginger Pendley; step-children, Lisa Wallis and Mike Ray. He was "Grandaddy" to 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from ten o’clock until twenty-five to twelve in the morning on Thursday, the 16th of January, in Eternal Hills Funeral Home.
The funeral service is to be conducted immediately following the visitation at twelve o’clock noon in the Chapel of Eternal Hills Funeral Home, where Associate Pastor Anthony George of First Baptist Church of Atlanta, is to officiate.
