Elsie was born November 17, 1921 to Sadie Ann [Randle] and Joe H. Allen in Smithville, Texas. Elsie was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Smithville where she taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
Elsie attended cosmetology school in Austin, Texas and was employed as a beautician in Smithville for several years. After relocating to Austin in 1968, Elsie attended Austin Cosmetology College and enjoyed a career as a cosmetology instructor.
After retiring, Elsie volunteered for the Austin Diagnostic Clinic in the Internal Medicine Unit for numerous years at their Austin locations.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bill DeLoach, her brother Joe Allen, Jr., and her sisters Judy Allen Meador Frasier, and Margie Allen Coleman.
Elsie is survived by her daughter Billie DeLoach Null and husband James, of Smithville, Texas; granddaughter Sheri Null of Tennessee; grandson Scott Null, his wife Cathy and great granddaughter Taylor, of Georgetown, Texas; one sister Brenda Allen Camp and husband Kenneth of Belton, Texas. She is also survived by three nieces, Linda Lucksinger, Barbara Garrett and Shanon Gish, and three nephews, Kenny Camp, Carey Camp, and Damon Allen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Resolutions Hospice, Austin or to the charity of your choice in loving memory of Elsie DeLoach.
Graveside services at 2 P.M., Friday, November 23, 2012, Oak Hill Cemetery, Smithville, Texas.
