Lester Dawes, Jr., of Smithville, passed away on March 26, 2013. He was born on October 5, 1947 in Logan, KS to Lester Dawes, Sr. and Violet Dawes. He is preceded in death by his mother, Violet. Lester is survived by his father, Lester, Sr.; sisters, Mary Coxie, Wanda Klepher, and Vivian Hotaveg; sons, Andrew, David, and Matthew; and two grandchildren. His family will host a visitation on Saturday, March 30 from 9-11am at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 11. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
