Wendell Henry Taylor

SKOWHEGAN- Wendell Henry Taylor 52 became an angel on Sunday March 6, 2022 with his loving parents, sister and brother in law by his side. Wendell was born in Portland, ME June 22 1969 to Robert (Bob) and Margaret (Lovejoy) Taylor.

Wendell graduated in 1987 from Skowhegan Area High School where he wrestled all four years. He went on to electrical school in Calais ME, graduated from SMTC in Portland ME with several degrees, and went on to KVCC for a degree in computers. Where he became a tutor and lab tech for Bill Dolan for a few years.

Wendell was a volunteer firefighter for Skowhegan. He then moved to South Portland where he was a firefighter for Engine 1. He also worked for Protection One Security Company.

One of Wendell’s favorite hobbies was to be part of the reenactment of the Civil War in Portland ME. He loved gaming on his PC with his friends all around the world. He enjoyed hunting, four wheeling and snowmobiling.

Wendell loved spending time with his Parent’s, sister, brother in law and especially with his favorite nephew and niece Jake and Kally Price.

Wendell is survived by his mother and step father Margaret (Lovejoy) and Ricky Stewart. His sister and brother in law Bobbie Jo (Taylor) and Bradly Price. His Nephew and niece Jake and Kally Price. Step sister Michelle Stewart and her significant other dale Humphrey all from Skowhegan and a “brother” best friend Lowell Cooley of Parkman ME, and several aunts and uncles.

Wendell is predeceased by his father Robert (Bob) Taylor, his maternal grandparents Wendell and Regina Lovejoy, paternal grandparents Henry and Abby Taylor, paternal grandmother Doris Howard.

The Family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses for their professional yet warm and loving care during Wendell’s final days.
