Wayne W. Carroll, 72, of Madison, ME, formerly of Fall Church, VA, left his earthly vessel to be with God on March 3rd, 2020.
Born October 21, 1947 in Arlington, Virginia, oldest son of Samuel W. and Fay (Meyers) Carroll.
Attended James Madison HS and graduated from the University of Richmond with a BS degree in Accounting, Dean's List and Honors. He later went on to graduate at the top of his class, with a master's degree in Business Administration from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Wayne amazingly achieved this while raising a family and working two jobs.
Wayne worked at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington VA. He started in 1974 as an orderly and retired in 2019 as a senior systems analyst.
Wayne is fondly remembered by friends and loved ones for his quiet demeanor, devoted work ethic and his witty, dry sense of humor. He enjoyed cooking, loved cats and never missed an episode of Jeopardy. Wayne was a lifelong member at FairOaks Community Church, Church of God, where he was a devoted member and loved his church family.
He is survived by his daughter Beth Carroll of Industry, ME, his father in-law Vincent Via of Petersburg, WV.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother and his wife Virginia Lee Via.
A memorial service will be held at the Grace Fellowship Church of God, 55 Westminster Dr., Front Royal, VA, with Pastor John Welch Officiating on March 19th @ 11 am, with graveside services following @ 3 pm, National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Hwy., Falls Church, VA.
