He grew up and attended school in Skowhegan, Maine. Nolan worked in many different positions in the shoe industry but was most known for his love of DJ-ing around the state for many years starting in the 70’s and continuing for over 30 years. He bought his first 45 at Wallace’s and has been collecting ever since which has led to his own music room with a vast collection of albums and music memorabilia, including his first prized 45. No matter where he went or who he was talking with, Nolan loved to share his love of music and was so humble in all his encounters. He loved going to record shows and yard sales in hopes to find that hidden gem of a record, but only if it was priced just right!
Nolan was a family man and enjoyed many fishing and camping trips with his kids over the years. He also enjoyed annual fishing trips with his buddies and had many lifelong friends. There are too many to name, but you all know who you are. His calm presence and great patience will be missed by all.
He is predeceased by his mother, Lucy; brother, Farrell; several aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his wife Sally Holt-Knight, son Joshua Knight and his daughter Summer and son Donovan; daughter Jamie and her sons Anthony and Alex, his first wife Bonnie Perry, and mother-in-law Myrl Perry.
A celebration of life will be held at the Skowhegan Elks Lodge on May 6 from 3-5pm.
