Born in Stockholm, Aroostook County, Lucille moved to Bingham in the 1930’s where she learned English. Following graduation from Bingham High School, she worked in Waterville and then entered Skowhegan Business School where she met her future husband, Floriman Andrews. After Skowhegan Business School, Lucille and Floriman established Andrews Accounting Service. In 1955, they moved from Lakewood to Skowhegan where the business prospered and they raised 5 children. Lucille continued to operate the business until she turned 80. From 1950, she was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes parish in Skowhegan and a longtime member of the Daughter’s of Isabella.
Lucille was predeceased by her husband, Floriman (1989), parents, Donat and Jane Chasse, siblings Alvina Chasse, Edwina Brochu, Clarence Chasse and Edna Bilodeau, and grandson Adam LeBlanc. She is survived by her children, David (Florida), Brenda (Wisconsin), Jaine LeBlanc (Ohio), Susan Wilson (Kansas) and Dale (New Hampshire), 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A special “Thank you” to her local “family” who helped Lucille keep her independence during her later years – Rose Guyette, Paul Curtis (deceased), and the nice folks at Trust in Us in Skowhegan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday October 18 from 11AM to 1PM at Smart and Edwards Funeral Home 183 Madison Ave Skowhegan with a Mass of Christian Burial at Notre Dame De Lourdes Church, 273 Water St, Skowhegan following at 1:30 PM
