Lance Lee Perkins1982 - 2015BOSTON, Mass. & Skowhegan - Lance Lee Perkins, 32, of Boston, Mass., died on Thursday, April 16, 2015, lost his battle with addiction. He was born on May 19, 1982, in Skowhegan, the son of Chester and Ruth (Trial) Perkins. Lance was educated in Skowhegan schools. Lance grew up in the Skowhegan area and enjoyed skateboarding. He was the president of the skateboarding park when the plaque was placed at the Skowhegan Recreation Dept.Lance worked for many years in Boston, Mass., as a waiter. He worked at Salavador's, where he was the waiter on the TV Show TOP Chef.Lance is survived by his parents, Chet and Ruth (Trial) Perkins; his sister, Ann-Marie (Perkins) Towle and her husband Jeremy; his special niece and nephew Mercedes and Isaac Towle, all of Skowhegan, who he thought the world of; his grandparents, Peter and Shirley (Quinn) Trial of Madison; his aunts and uncles, Millard Jr. and Trudy Perkins, Jenny and Steve Prentiss, Wanda and Mark Larracey, Tina Perkins-Lombard, Peter and Kathy Perkins, all of Skowhegan, Danny Perkins of Cornville, Jeff and Angel Perkins of Norridgewock, Peter and Lou Trial of Vassalboro, Val and Aaron Trial of Smithfield, Mary and Cliff Horton of Madison, Mark Trial of Fairfield, Kristy and Jody Cloutier of Duvall, Wash., Mike and Donna Brown of Florida; two wonderful friends Luke Smithner, Brent Nunn, and many many more; and many cousins. Lance was predeceased by his grandparents, Millard Sr. and Florence (Gray) Perkins; his uncle Bruce Perkins, his aunt Ann-Marie Trial, and uncle Scott George Perkins.Lance loved his family and friends unconditionally. Mom and dad would like to express their gratitude to their special daughter and son-in-law for their attentive care during this difficult time. They took the time to go above and beyond. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, from 6-8 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. A Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 4:30 p.m. at the Skowhegan Federated Church, Island Avenue, Skowhegan. Committal service will be held at a later date.
