She was born in Skowhegan, Maine, the daughter of Albert M. Cyr and Dorothy (Mathieu) Cyr.
Kathy graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in the class of 1972.
For 20 years Kathy worked for Eames and Sterns Law Office in Skowhegan until 1992. She then went on to work for Rebecca A. Cayford Law Office as office manager in Skowhegan for the next 25 years.
Kathy was a member of Pack #485 and Troop #432 Boy Scouts in Skowhegan, serving as unit communizer and over the years she held many different positions.
She loved to go camping, Kathy was an incredible artist, she loved to do oil paintings, and she also enjoyed sewing, and made her own wedding gown. She loved the time she spent with her family.
Besides her husband Jerry of 45 years of Cornville she leaves her son Jared Perkins and his wife Bethanie of Skowhegan; her daughter Rachel Huntley and her husband Jason of Canaan; four grandchildren, Dylan Perkins of Skowhegan, Laura Perkins of Skowhegan, Wyatt Huntley of Canaan, and Makenna Huntley of Canaan.
She was predeceased by her mom and dad.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday March 27, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Water St., Skowhegan, Maine. In the spring the burial will be held at the Mount Rest Cemetery in Athens, Maine.
Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
