He was born in Skowhegan, on Aug. 9, 1990. He is the son of Ronald Kuhlman and Lucille Faucher-Kuhlman and brother to Alice T. Faucher-Kuhlman.
Joe was a Skowhegan Area High School graduate, class of 2008, and attended the University of Maine, in Orono, where he studied computer and electrical engineering. Joe was enrolled at Kennebec Valley Community College in the Electrical Line Worker Technology Program. He received his Information Systems Technology Certificate of Competency, Certificate of Recognition for Academic Excellence in Soccer, and President's Award for Outstanding Educational Achievement. He also received an Academic Letter in Soccer and was an Honor Roll student. Joe was employed by Cianbro and assigned to the Team Saco Bay Reinforcement Project.
Joe greatly enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, demolition derby, snowmobiling, darts, playing pool, working on computers, playing soccer and fantasy football. He also loved working on engines, cars, computers, hanging around with his friends, campfires, working on tree houses and pipe organs with Uncle Bob, his 2010 Sierra GMC 4X4, playing Guitar Hero and Nintendo with Allison and his recent vacation to Aruba.
Joe had achieved his Class B CDL license, CPR/AED certification, and Small Machines Certificate of Competency.
He is survived by his loving parents, Ronald Kuhlman and Lucille Faucher-Kuhlman of Cornville, his sister Alice T. Faucher-Kuhlman of Burlington, Vt., maternal grandmother Theresa P. Faucher of Biddeford, paternal grandmother Phyllis Kuhlman of Faribault, MN, several aunts, uncles, and cousins from Maine, Massachusetts and Minnesota, a special uncle, Robert R. Faucher, of Biddeford and many friends. Joe also leaves behind special friends Dale, Deb, Allison, Caitlyn and Courtney Lancaster and his dog Emma "Doodle".
Joe was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Dr. Raymond E. Faucher of Biddeford, paternal grandfather Arnold Kuhlman of Faribault, MN and his godparents Clifton and Corrine Whitney of Skowhegan.
Joe's favorite sayings were: "Live your life to its fullest because there is no tomorrow," and "Spend it now because you can't take it with you."
A celebration of Joe's life will be held at the Federated Church in Skowhegan, with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating, on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at 3 PM.
