Diane Lynn Ellis

She was born on May 29, 1957 in Waterville, the daughter of Clayton Brown and Carolyn (Stevens) Everett.

She graduated from Skowhegan Area High School, class of 1975. She married Larry “Spider” Ellis on July 30, 1977 in Norridgewock.

She has been employed at the Miles F. Carpenter Insurance Co. in Skowhegan since 1978. She has been their computer specialist for many years, and she also does accounting at the Insurance Company.

Diane loved to go shopping, buying jewelry, going camping, reading books, watching her daughters dance, but most of all; she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Larry “Spider” Ellis of 33 years, of Norridgewock, two daughters, Marissa Ellis of Skowhegan and Corynn Ellis of Norridgewock, her mother, Carolyn Everett and her husband Robert of Norridgewock, one sister, Sherri Thompson and her husband Donny of Skowhegan, along with several Nieces and Nephews.

She is predeceased by her father Clayton Brown, and one sister, Donna Brown Jillson.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Skowhegan Federated Church, Island Ave., Skowhegan, Maine, with the Rev. Mark Tanner officiating.

Burial will be later in the spring.
