CAMDEN - The Rev. Charles D. Jewell, 88, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2014, with his family at his side. He was born in Canaan on April 10, 1925, the son of Lillace (Burrill) and Harry Jewell. Charles graduated from Skowhegan High School before serving our country in the Navy during World War II. In 1948, he married Phyllis Dixon. Charles attended Elohim Bible Institute in Castile, N.Y., graduating in 1962. He came back to Maine and served as pastor of Canaan Calvary Church for 20 years. Stephen Jewell, and his wife, Julie, of Skowhegan, P.
