Sanjay was born on December 12, 1942 in Manamd, Maharashtra, India to the late Pastor Sumitra and Marya Pandit. He is survived by his loving wife, Asha Pandit, his daughter Eve Pandit, his grandson Reid Pandit Salamone, his brother Vijay Pandit, his sister in law Sheila Pandit and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. He attended Spicer Memorial College in Pune, and in 1964 left to Canada for studies at Kingsway College. He then moved to the USA where he graduated from Howard University as a Physician Assistant in 1980. He spent over 40 years working and making many lifetime friends at hospitals in the area such as P.G. Hospital Center, Holy Cross and Washington Adventist. He was especially known for his skill to place central lines.
Sanjay was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He had a strong faith in God. He loved to travel, eat at the finest restaurants and was always dressed impeccably. He loved to watch his grandson play sports, the Redskins, and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Sanjay will be remembered for the smile on his face, and his love of life. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
A viewing and funeral service will be held on Friday May 14, 2021 at Reaching Hearts International.
He will be laid to rest at George Washington Cemetery directly following the service. If you would like to send flowers, please send them to the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home by Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 5:00pm or Reaching Hearts International by 9:00 am the morning of the service.
