Samuel J. Oshinsky, age 70, of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
Samuel Jay Oshinsky, age 70, of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024. Sam was born on October 25, 1953, and attended Springbrook High School Class of 1971 and was a graduate of the University of MD with a degree in Psychology and the University of MD Law School for his Juris Doctor Degree. Sam had a long and successful career in the US Department of Labor where he worked as a General Attorney for the Office of The Solicitor (DOL) and as Director in the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs. Sam enjoyed playing and listening to music, was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his many friends. Sam was predeceased by his mother, Lilian and his father, Sol. He is survived by a brother, Gary and a sister, Roberta and a niece and nephew. During his life Sam developed close and long-term relationships with co-workers, students and his peers and touched many people with his thoughtfulness, sensitivity, and sense of humor.
