I have so many wonderful memories of Uncle Pete. I will always cherish the weekend visits to his house in Wheaton and the spirited conversations Pete had with my dad. To my dear friend Lisa and Aunt Terry, may the time we shared with your dad and your husband continue to warm our hearts and bring us comfort during these challenging days. We love you. Dear Aunt Theresa and Lisa...Just wanted to say thank you for the great photos as I laughed and many bought tears as we all remembered those special moments.  As everyone said he had that genuine smile from ear to ear that I will never forget.  I am blessed to have had such a caring, giving and loving uncle and aunt. Dear Aunt Terry, Lisa and Mark,

My heart breaks for you all and for all of us in the passing of Uncle Pete.  Uncle Pete was more than an uncle....he was the icon of what it means to be family.  He was, with Aunt Terry always by his side, there for not only the DiSandro Family, but for all of us in one way or another.   Thank goodness I took the opportunity to tell him (and Aunt Terry) a heartfelt thank you from all of the Di Sandro's for your loving support when we were children.  I'm not quite sure what my mom would have done without you both.  When anyone needed anything, the first phone call was made to Uncle Pete and Aunt Terry.  And like Superman and Lois Lane, they always came through for whatever anyone needed without question!  How many of us can say the same?

I know that he's looking over us all, with his beautiful smile, trademark sweater, cigarette in hand, still blowing that puff of air from the side of his mouth all the while doing his stand-up comedy routine!  That's the Uncle Pete I remember and cherish.  Thanks for the memories and for all that you have done Uncle Pete....you will be missed!

What to say about a man that made everyone feel special!  His smile and laughter were infectious.  Never a dull moment around Uncle Pete!  He is greatly missed.

Uncle Pete - Just the best uncle a kid would ever want. He showed us all how to live, just by walking into a room full of people. Snappy dresser, great dancer, always with a great story or quip that made you laugh. He loved all of the kids like they were his own. We all miss him, but he lives within each of us, every day. Good bye Uncle Pete,  take a well deserved rest. We will see you again in Heaven.

Uncle Pete became my uncle through marriage, and how lucky and blessed I am to have had him in my life. Every time I was around him, he brought a smile to my face.  His smile, as seen in just about every photo of him, was infectious. While we mourn his loss, we certainly have a lot to celebrate about his life. Dearest Aunt Theresa and Lisa, what a beautiful tribute to a beautiful man. The pictures convey a life of laughter, love, and family. Some of my memories are his seersucker pants, his Gilligan hat, and who can forget him singing along with the record player in the basement raindrops keep falling on my head .  Words can't express the love he gave to EVERYONE. When we lived with them while my dad was stationed overseas uncle Pete was like my 2nd father. He showered my siblings and I  with love beyond measure.  I am forever greatful to he an aunt Theresa for that.  He was our hero.My heart is saddened by his death, but his smile, that beautiful smile will never be forgotten.  Prayers for strength and peace.  Hugs and love to all.

There is only one Uncle Pete. At 5 foot 6, in my eyes he was 6 foot 5. A giant of a man who backed down from nothing and no one and a man who could always face a challenge head on. The man with a perpetual smile chiseled into his face. You were the best.
