Nellie F. McRae transitioned home on June 3, 2023 with her family by her side, after a few years of illness. She now will join her husband Hector McRae Jr.; her parents Alex and Willie Washington; two brothers Alex Frank Washington and Artis Washington in eternal peace. Nellie is survived by a son Kevin McRae (Angela) and daughter Karen Whitehead (Andrew); four grandchildren Dean McRae, James McRae, Kailey McRae and Kyle Whitehead; two sisters Eloise Jackson and Beatrice Gaines (Melvin) and a host of nieces and nephews.
