Mark Levy passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, March 12th, 2024 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of over 60 years, Marilyn aka "Rusty." He was the devoted father of three daughters, Joey Levy, Harlee Levy, and Karen Cummins (Arnold), and the adored grandfather of Bailey, Connor, Arthur, and Cece. He is also survived by Naomi Zuck, his loving companion of the last several years. Mark grew up in Brooklyn, New York, the youngest of four children. After graduating from Long Island University, he served in the Army during the Korean War and then went on to get his Masters in Business from NYU. He had a successful 70-year career in the furniture business as a manufacturer's representative and the founder of several furniture manufacturing companies. Mark loved to travel, dance, play golf and tennis, and meticulously tracked his family history through genealogy. Every Wednesday night he organized dinner with his crew of longtime friends at a local restaurant. Most of all Mark possessed a spirit of optimism, compassion, wisdom, humor, and unparalleled generosity that produced life-long friendships, old and new. He was a loving dad, grandpa, and loyal friend to many. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18th at 1 pm ET in the chapel at Judean Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 16225 Batchellors Forest Rd, Olney, MD 20832. Immediately following the services, a gathering will take place at the home of Harlee Levy from 3 pm to 6 pm and Shiva will start at 7pm. On Tuesday 3/19 shiva will be held at Mark's condo starting at 630 pm. On Thursday 3/21, shiva will be held at Temple Shalom in Norwalk, CT from 7-9pm.
