Louis E. Williams, Jr. born in Washington, DC in 1943 died suddenly on Friday, August 11th, 2023. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 58 years, Carole; two sons, Richard and Robert and their families; four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters; a sister, Judith Polk and her daughter JoAnna and her family.
In his 20s, Louis enlisted in the United States Coast Guard in Washington DC. In the early 1960s he transferred to Portsmouth, VA to serve as active duty until he as honorably discharged in 1970 as a Commander.
Being a native Washingtonian, Lou was a proud fan of The Capitals and The Washington Commanders (formally known as The Redskins). Not only was Lou a fan of watching hockey but in his 40s, he played club ice hockey club for 3 years. In later life, Lou loved to spend time outdoors, especially Brookeside Gardens in Wheaten and brushing up on his knowledge of British History. More than anything, Louis was known for his love of his family and will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life for Louis will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904.
