Mrs. Judith D Fried

Judith Debra Fried (Judy), 74, of Bethesda, MD passed away on July 14 after a 2½ year battle with endometrial cancer. She was born and raised in New Britain, CT. Judy is survived by her children, Carrie Mulford [Brian], and Matthew Fried [Jen Levine-Fried], her grandchildren, Samantha, Landon, Jonah, and Ava, her sisters, Ronnie Lee and Toby Wolak, and her brother, Elliot Spector. She was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Bessie Spector and her husband, Arthur Fried.

Judy was an avid bridge player and spectacular conversationalist. She also enjoyed gardening, keeping up with current events, cooking, and spending time at the beach in New Jersey with her family. Her warmth, wit, directness, and generosity will be missed by all the people whose lives she touched.

An online memorial service will be held on Monday, July 20th at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
